Doing the Edgemanager.dll (which was already in the system32 folder, I just made a copy of that) rename process eliminated the ‘system error’ popup..
Glad to hear from you Joe!
I’m experiencing the same thing after upgrading from Win10 1909 to Win10 20H2 (not 2004). Any update on the pending fix from Microsoft? Has there been anything published?
Did you tried to check the added steps? What’s your Windows 10 build version 10.0.19042 ?
I tried your workaround and it did not fix the problem. Any other suggestions?
I figured it out. I clicked on the first Resources link (Edgegdi.dll error – Microsoft Tech Forum) and it lead me to try the same process you outlined, but I did it for C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ in addition to C:\Windows\System32\
Anyone still experiencing the issue after applying the workaround to System 32, I would suggest doing the same process for SysWOW64.
