Let’s discuss Windows Update for Business WUfB Feature Update policy to Windows 10 version 20H2. WUfB policies can be configured through Intune. You can check the difference between Windows Update for Business and WSUS to understand the architecture.
Intune Policy Configuration for Windows 10 version 20H2
In the modern management world with Intune, we don’t have to create new WUfB policies for every new version of Windows 10. You just need to create two policies: You can refer to the Youtube tutorial to check the details of the WUfB policy option in Intune.
NOTE! – If you’re using Microsoft Update for Business to deploy Windows 10, version 1903 and later, your update options have changed. Updates will be delivered over the same channels, with the exception of the Semi-Annual Channel (Targeted), which will no longer exist. Before you continue, go to the Intune documentation to learn more about these changes and how they affect your previously configured update ring.

- Make sure you select the appropriate values for the below-mentioned fields
- Service channel
- Feature update deferral period (days)
- Make sure you select the appropriate values for the below-mentioned fields

- Windows 10 feature update policy – Make sure you have NOT placed a block for Windows 10 20H2.
NOTE! – While writing the post the block option is not available for Windows 10 version 20H2.

You will get the toast notification on Windows 10 2004 device as shown in the above mentioned example.

Nice article. Its very frustrating that the feature update preview takes so long to be updated as that is our current method of controlling feature. Also the feature update rings seem unreliable as I have devices in these rings which have updated to 20H2 despite being linked to feature update 1909.
